After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, Jenny Ames has enjoyed a varied career as a viola player. As well as playing with many London orchestras in the classical music world, she has performed Bjork, Mica Levi, the Cinematic Orchestra, Floating Points, Bonobo, Kae Tempest, Apartment House and many more.
Her musical interests lie in the more avant garde side of the music world and ran a London based collective called Re:Sound. Using a variety of unusual spaces around London (including a disused WW2 bunker in Shoreditch) Re:Sound curated musical nights using their composers and DJs, starting with contemporary classical pieces and segueing into a techno rave.
During lockdown, Jenny began to explore making her own music using viola, electronics and her voice. Her influences include Oliver Coates, Mica Levi, Lucy Railton, the music of the Renaissance and Baroque eras, metal and techno.

Absolutely incredible music. It should be blasted through every speaker across the world in resistance to their attempts to silence Palestinian freedom. vales3000
