Shareefa Energy is a poet, youth worker, community activist involved in grassroots campaigning and a supporter of Palestinian freedom. Her poetry collection Galaxy Walk was published by Burning Eye Books. She is currently working on a novel. She is a creative writing workshop practitioner. Her poetry is raw, honest and consistent against injustice. Witnessing her performing has been described as an almost religious experience. She was awarded the UK Entertainment Best Poet 2017 Award and nominated for the Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre 2019 award by the Arts Council. Her poetry has featured on BBC The One Show, Channel 4 and ITV.
